Peapack & Gladstone’s ‘Art in the Park’ is held at Liberty Park on Main Street in the picturesque town center of Peapack & Gladstone, New Jersey. Artists exhibit their work in a serene, outdoor park setting against a beautiful pond backdrop. Art in the Park began in 2000 and continues to grow in popularity with both exhibitors and attendees. Sponsored by the borough’s Recreation Commission, the event is a showcase for a large variety of fine art and crafts, as well as an introduction to talented student artists. The event provides our patrons an opportunity to meet and talk with the individual artists. Live entertainment, food and beverage, and a children’s craft area, make this a perfect day in the park!
CALLING ALL ARTISTS
No more than fifty (50) artists may attend the 2015 event. The number of artists exhibiting in each medium will be limited and the Recreation Commission reserves the right to deny an application if the maximum number of artists in a given medium already has been registered. All exhibited work must be 100% created by the artist or advertised vendor. Each artist must supply his or her own clean, white tent, if desired, as well as any other required staging (table, easels, etc). Each exhibitor will be allotted a 10’ x 10’ space and only one artist will be allowed to exhibit in each space. Adjoining spaces may be requested for artists wishing to exhibit together. Artists must set up between 8:00am and 10:30am on September 20, 2015. The event will be held rain or shine.
A completed, signed application form is required to participate. A $75 check ($50 if paid before June 1), made payable to the PG Recreation Commission, must accompany each application (the entry fee is included). Please provide a brief statement describing your work and send photos of your work, or include your website address, for selection. If electricity is required, there will be a $100 fee for400 watts maximum. This is in addition to the $75 fee.
All applications, with payment, must be received by July 31, 2015 (Early Bird registration deadline is June 1, 2015). Accepted artists will be notified by the Event Chairpersons no later than August 15, 2015. Maps with assignment locations will be available the morning of the event.
